Born in Baltimore, Maryland, I moved to Georgia in 1987. After graduating from Georgia
Military College with honors in 1997, I decided to call the charming City of Stone Mountain
my home.
I love the City of Stone Mountain and adamantly believe in the potential for phenomenal growth
and revitalization of local businesses and city activities. I am thrilled about the start of The Streetscape
Phase I, which is scheduled to began in Fall 2009. This project will include improvements to the buildings
along Main Street along with new street lights, benches and beautiful greenery. These significant changes
will build stronger community pride and be a welcome addition for residents, neighboring visitors and
tourists to enjoy.
I was elected to the City Council in 2005 and have been honored to serve as the Mayor Pro Tem for the
past two terms. This experience has given me the opportunity to actively demonstrate my commitment
and belief in Stone Mountain and the issues at hand.
My run for Mayor of The City Stone Mountain is heartfelt because I desire to see solid progression
and continued economic growth. As a retired member of the DeKalb County Police Department, I am
committed to helping provide a peaceful, safe and prosperous community!
